My way to increase the mass 😀

No ringing, no extra money, adjustable to my needs (weight and shape) .🙂

George, very ingenious idea!! But just let me point out that if what you want is to increase the effective mass of the tonearm, you have to make the counterweight LIGHTER so it sits farther away from the pivot. It's counterintuitive, but it's truth.

Inertia = mass * (length^2); a lighter counterweight needs to be farther away and this increases inertia much more than adding weight to the counterweight. This inertia translates then into effective mass of the arm.

Thank you. I appreciate your input.
I had mentioned only mass and not effective mass (a rare occasion that I was cautious with words 😀 )

True. That's why I am preparing to build an experimental 24" reed unipivot (12" forward of pivot and 12" aft of pivot) to see how it goes. 🙂
I am into negotiations with my wife for the extra space for this added "@#&*?! thing"

merlin el mago, thanks too.
