the resonator should behave like it is 49,5 cm deep. Not 43 cm
I guess the driver placement and the large magnet is to blame for some of this.
I guess the front resonator behaves like a frequency and phase dependent variable length resonator then. This explains a lot!
Thanks for the help on my way to twist my head around this design!!
This argues for the split path layout, since you excite the front resonator symmetrically and loose less resonator-length to the tapped pipe exits.
Now I will try this exercise with my split path symmetrical ROAR12. At least it has a better known driver with more trustworthy specs then this monster GAS Comp15.
