I posted this on the TPA website support forum but it seems a bit quiet there so reposting here - hope that's OK.
I have an Acko AKD16 dac board (based on the ES9016 chip). I'm already planning to use Trident shunt regs to power it and browsing the TPA website came across the volumite; just wondering if I could use a Volumite to control the volume of the ES9016.
The AKD16 pcb has an i2c header with pins labelled ground, sda and scl. I understand the 9016 and 9018 chips have essentially the same internal architecture.
I'm assuming Buffalo II firmware would be a good starting point.
Thanks for any help/advice.
