Has anyone heard it? Madisound has a kit pair for $150. It uses the Alpair CHR-50, I believe. Looks interesting. Sealed.
no way to hear -- but at that price would grab them (if had money 😀) - maybe pair them with a little powered subwoofer
Actually, it’s the CHN50, which might be an interesting enough driver as mid-tweet in a WAW/FAST 2- way, but I gotta think the little plastic box could be easily bettered.
DaveD might have some impressions to share?
Edit: I’d definitely want to HP them somewhere in the low hundreds - either passive or active depending on your predilection.

Vented actually. You can see the port tube in the image if you look carefully -because it's made of the same materials & the same colour it's hard to spot as it blends in. Mark designed the Tozzi (both versions) for MA-Sota; the Tozzi One has now morphed into the kit for MA. It's a neat little rapid-assembly kit for the price.
Thanks for the correction. I can’t seem to get the details right.
The kit has definitely caught my eye.

There’s a Tozzi 2 (not at Madisound) for $600.
FWIW Madisound also has the Halcyon 2-way (A10P and SB Acoustics 6.5”Woofer) starting at $633 before tweaky crossover upgrades. By the time you add some quality plywood and finishing to the project, you could have a pretty damned fine system for under $900.
I have a set of Tozzi. I have not been inspired to assemble them. With a pair of chn50, the suggestted $150 is probably a good value for someone who cannot build their own box.

Dave -
Have you listened to the CHN-50s?
I can assemble & modify boxes; it’s cutting the wood that’s impossible. Finding someone around here to do it is quite difficult.
