Hey Everyone, happy to have found this forum. I've been in the market for a reasonable PA system and stumbled upon a post on another forum about building your own system Now I don't want a professional concert setup, just something on the smaller side, portable and packs a decent punch. My main use case is for backyard parties with DJ friends. I don't need a massive subwoofer system to shake my neighbors but if I can build something under $800-$1000 that would be great. I have all the tools and decent woodworking skills. I just have no clue about components, amps, electric circuits, etc. Any help for a DIY friendly build for a first timer?
