Does anyone know where to find a (simple) circuit for a toslink to coaxial converter?

http://www.epanorama.net/documents/audio/spdif.html about 2/3 of the way down, "Simple S/PDIF output without galvanic isolation" is probably what you're looking for. Line impedance matching probably won't be great, but it should work fine. For the TTL input, tack on the circuit from TORX177 datasheet.
