@Alfi Well we all appreciate different things. But I was just over the moon happy with the result. That said...this is my first headphone amp. And with the humble DAC...I was very impressed. I only listened a few hours...since now the amp is in the UK. My son is extremely happy and impressed. Then again this is his first headphone amp as well. My oldest also briefly listened and was also very impressed (Going to build him one as well...but probably otl )
I guess you'll just have to read other Torpedo reviews on the real thing. They must be very similar in sound I suppose. As they say in America ymmv.

Hi Bas,
I bought these transformers, Triad T-20X, plate to line, 15K:600/250/50 today (https://www.ebay.com/itm/256702836515) for this project. Would do you think they are good enough? Thank you for your comment!

Very cool I tried to pick up a used torpedo off Headfi just to hear a parafeed headphone amp and tinker with it but never got a reply. It may be on my bucket list just to build one from scratch.

Just do it would be my advice. It's fun. One can build it OTL as well ofcourse. Just to get an idea.
