I've searched the rest of the forum including other threads that asked the same question but can't find any information about where to source the round cylindrical enclosures for a toroidal transformer. I know that these are called "deep drawn enclosures" and all the manufacturers that I've contacted are accustomed to huge quantity orders and want a king's ransom for one or two units. Where are people locating these at a reasonable cost? I'm located in the U.S. Thanks.
+1 for Antek...just received one for my 18V 300VA unit for my Moskido. Very nice looking - getting a little psu noise...figured this will help a little. Plus it looks cool!
Depending on what size you need, you might check ebay for stainless steel 35mm film developing tanks.
Thanks for the Antek pointer. That's a great way to go since it's purpose-built for toroidal transformers. Their website seemed broken. However, I found their products available on eBay.
I used a PVC pipe endcap for my latest project... not too worried about shielding - wanted something that could be mounted without a plate underneath.

A local kitchen supply store will probably have various sized stainless bowls that could be of use.

How do you secure the transformer inside? Then how do you mount the whole thing on the chassis?I used a pair of aluminum milk pans with the handles cut off.
Mount them with the standard mounting apparatus and then epoxy the pans over the top. Make certain to roughen the mating surfaces before applying the epoxy.

I found some fan ducting that was useful, but can't find the reference in B&Q any more. I'm in UK.
Greenwood solid ducting, B&Q, 10.5cm internal, for fans NDX100, NTX100

Here is what I did.
For fixing the vessel, I put 3 holes on the bottom near the perimeter and put nut-bolts to the chassis bottom. The torroid being curved at the outside has gap at the bottom.
I just placed it in the container and put some support with heat tolerant materials.
For fixing the cover, I had these straight ss plates with two threaded holes that were used to support transistors onto the heatsink. Just put one hole on the vessel and another on the lid.
