Actually, I've been thinking about this for a couple of weeks now and I'm firmly of the opinion that a remake of "The Cars" could be absolutely exceptional.
Of course how on earth you'd go about it and who on earth would agree to do it are another matter.
Certainly the possibilities are stunning
Will go back to musing about upcoming preamp project now, alot more likely to get off the ground.

I don't know if new zealand films count, but Petre Jacksons made some great movies before he made the lord of the rings.

Some of peters earlier films were excellent and have a cult following in New Zealand and Japan too I believe.
Bad taste Brain dead, and meet the feebles are great movies, and very funny if you dont mind a bit of gore.

Yeah, I loved brain dead. Bad taste was also very interesting.

Yep I third proof, was stone the film about the undercover cop who infiltrates a biker gang that hangs out at middle head????
Also (although it doesn't really count) Double take hercules!!!
Also surprised no one has mentioned chopper..........
