Gentlemen, I did a group-buy in the German AAA-forum for my TO3-SYMASYM PCBs last month, and I have 1 set / kit left.
Be sure: I will no more offer any SYMASYM in a group buy, and this version, the TO3-version, is the best sounding SYMASYM that you can imagine.
This has been my homage to the Motorola MJ-TO3-transistors, producing the incredible, adorable "PhillySound".
Since I use a pair of TO3s on the output, the PCBs can easily drive speakers with an impedance lower than 4 Ohms.
The offered set / kit consists of:
- 2 x TO3-SYMASYM PCBs current version
- 1 x DX PSU PCB
- 2 x Speaker Protection PCBs
- 2 pairs of well matched MJ21195- and 2 pairs of well matched MJ21196- output transistors
- 2 pairs of well matched (quad matched) 2SK170BL input transistors
- 2 heatsinks 165 x 80 x 35mm
- 2 ALU L profiles 50x50x5mm, 140mm long
- 1 transformer Nuvotem/Talema 2 x 25VAC / 300VA; input is: 230VAC (!)
- 2 ERO/Roederstein MKT1822 /10µF and 2 Vishay MKP1837/10nF input, DC-blocking capacitors
This is your last chance to have this SYMASYM version.
The price for this set / kit is 150€; shipping costs within Europe (due to 230VAC) is included.
All components are absolutely new and have never been used before.
Send me a PM, if you want to have the set / kit.
I will send you the builder's manual, drill-template, ..., then.
Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

Jean-Francois: I received your PAYPAL - transfer. Thank you.
I will take your parcel to my local DHL-shop on Monday.
I am a little bit sad to sell (to have sold) this kit.
Best regards - Rudi
P.S. This is the way the cookie crumbles, isn't it?

Hi Rudi,
Don't be too sad , even if this baby is going away ! I will not do money with the kit, and someone will get a nice SymaSym that he would never have got without this nice offer you did ... So, someone more will be happy with what you did 🙂 !
thank you Rudi !

Watchtmouse had a brilliant idea: he uses TO3 MICA washers to isolate the plated-through holes on top of the PCB from the ALU - L-profile!!

Hi Rudi,
Yes, using TO3 MICA washers is a brilliant 😎 idea, but using paper, it was not that bad too : in some conditions, you could also get some fire and more magic smoke in your home 🙄, I find it was also a very interesting idea 😀. I use TO3 MICA washers too.
Kind regards
