Do someone have a good solution for heatsinking To-92L transistors?🙂
Thermal epoxy the flat to a heat sink, or just a small piece of aluminum.
For an input stage, you want both on the same sink, with faces pointing
together, for them to be as close as possible, and have similar temperatures.
Or use these. TO-92 Heat Sinks | Mouser

Thank you! I didnt know those heatsinks for To-92.
I will get some of those🙂
Use a little thermal paste, these are stamped, not machined.
And make sure it fits tightly on the device.
I'm using the Aavid 5752 on the TO-92's in a project I'm doing. They are better than nothing but not much better.
If you can switch to Diodes Inc / Zetex transistors in the "Super E-Line" variation of the TO-92, I think you'll be happier. And if you drill a couple of extra holes in an Aavid 5297, allowing you to use a plastic Zip-Tie to secure the transistor + grease to the heatsink, I think you'll be a whole lot happier.
