I saw some silver plated in this zone. Philips make sometimes those things. And perhaps somebody used a pen to colored it.

Think I've seen green ones in old TV's (Thorn... and very old 🙂) I've got some blue BFxxx's somewhere.

There is no telling what the marketing department will come up with. GE Semi used to use red for NPN transistors and Green for PNP. Of course, color blind people can't tell those two colors aparts. !

Black/Grey - NPN

Japan made transistors used to be colored like that (way back).

I also have 'M' SPS 5418, with gold plated legs
cant identify them either
