TNT Preamble linestage PS

Hi everybody,
my first post here .. 🙂

please look here:
http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/preamble.html

to find the power supply of the TNT preamble linestage.

i'm in the process of building a new linestage, jfet/bipolar. not exactly the preamble. The preamble has ZERO PSRR... therefore need for a good PS. My design has 40 dB PSRR.

what do you think about the preamble PS? i have simulated it but circuitmaker doesn't give outstanding results. haven't bothered with B2Spice because of long sim time.
The long charge-up time isn't very sexy... i prefer to turn my gear off when i'm not home or asleep.
It isn't really a regulator, either. should have low dissipation, which is important for me (case has bad ventilation).

what about it? anyone ever try this simple ckt? with smaller RC constant on the gate?

regards!

how does it sound?

Has anybody experienced the sound quality of this TNT preamp? It looks very good on paper. In the review it says that the sound is akin to the pass aleph p preamplifier which is reviewed very favourably all around the world.

If the sound of this unit is very good: it can be build for very little money using some batteries and reasonble quality components in a small enclosure.
