Hi,there🙂
I have a sub trillemma to discuss.
I am building a TL subwoofer for a friend of mine to augment the TL fronts which are tuned to 60hz. It will be stereo sub with 10" drivers. Line will be long some 250cm in a 3:1 taper. I don't have a problem constructing a TL, I know how to use MJK's worksheets. Problem is in choosing a right sub driver. My first choice was a Peerless SLS 10". Pretty good driver, but friend insisted on something that goes slightly deeper. Ciare Hw250 seemed as a nice choice. It goes slightly deeper in a same sized TL but it's Cms is 1.8 against the 0.45 of SLS. Which one would you choose? Which has chance to sound more detailed and accurate in bass region on low volumes?
Xmax is not that important, because it will be used on pretty moderate volumes.
To make thing worse we are also reconsidering HS250 by Ciare a dual voice coil sub with pretty low Fs of 19Hz. Cms is somehehere in middle with value of 1.2. Unfortunately TS parameters are not stated for all 3 connections.
Any opinions?

Greets!
'detailed and accurate in bass region on low volumes?' requires a sysQ = 0.5 with a high Vas (ergo high Qms) and wide enough BW to cover the entire XO BW to ensure a fast rise/settling time (relatively speaking) on modest power, but all things considered, the HS 250 looks pretty good on paper in a Qp = 0.5.
