Hi,
i am having a question for a transmission line using a driver with a BIG magnet.
I am afraid that the magnet will block the desired standing wave effect of the TL, therefore the simulation would not reflect the real world.
See attached picture. Driver is SdX12.
Currently i have approx 1.1 Sd as free area around the magnet.
Is this enough ?
If it is not enough, what is the minimum area i should have ?
Maybe i am not asking the right question.
Any advise or article on how to determine the minimal area (Volume) around the driver for a TL
will help.

Hi Rgs,
IMO, Looks like to be a sufficient rear loading volume for this Driver. Here is a cut and paste from Rec.'s I've made for another thread:

Thank you Bjorno,
I am just over the minimum volume you recommended. Ooofff
I am still worrying on the cross-sectional area around the Magnet . Doest it have sufficient area between the magnet and the enclosure wall for the driver to breath in the enclosure.
In this case, the area is 1.1Sd. X-max one way is 28mm.

DO i have sufficient area if i have 1.1Sd free around the magnet
