What about a small ( 4"? ) 4th order BP mounted in a back pack with the port tubes exiting just behind your shoulders / ears ?
Being so close you don't need huge output.

Pennsylvania does not require motorcyclists to wear helmets. I really appreciate your concern, but this thread is about building a box. Not whether or not it is a good idea, nor is it about legal helmet requirements. I would like to request that we stay on topic and discuss audio.
I like that idea a lot, actually. A backpack kinda cramps the back seat space which might make a longer trip with the lady a little cramped.
Kudos for thinking outside the box, and it makes me think that maybe the trunk might be better placement with ports aiming forward.
