time delay with 2 amps?

Hi

This is another post about my first diy project (which is a sub)

The plan is to use my new amp for my main speakers and my old integrated amp for the sub. My question is, if you use 2 different amplifiers, can they get out of sync with each other because they process the sound at different speeds. And therefore can there be a time delay between the output of one amp and the output of the other amp. And if there is, can anything be done about it?
