Tidal

I loaded down Tidal Music and liked it for a few days. I say liked because it would stop playing after a period of time. Tidal says it's my internet service, internet says it's Tidal Music.

Back to iTunes. Not the cloud based iTunes, the iTunes with the small fortune of songs I've loaded down since 2008 onto the iPod that has had a new battery only three times.

I have been a Qobuz user since the US beta and launch when it cost 2X the current price. The music selection is great, offset by the lack of Playlists. I want to click a button and get music all day. It is considerably better than it once was, but not up to Pandora's Channels.

Deezer is another option: https://www.deezer.com/us/
It was recommended to me. I have no personal experience with it.

I find Tidal's UI to be pretty slow. I also find it hard to find what I'm looking for at times. Take Jean-Michel Jarre for example. Maybe I didn't get the spelling exactly right but I didn't find what I'm looking for until I tried searching for Jarre rather than Jean-Michel Jarre. Stuff like that.

I run Tidal on an old laptop (Apple MacBook Pro with optical out). I wish there was a way to remote control it from my phone like I can with iTunes.

Before retiring, I used Pandora at work everyday. Same thing happened- it would drop out at times. Pandora said it was my internet service, ISP said it was Pandora.

Solution was to download songs to iTunes. Any music server dependent on the ISP can be spotty. The old iPod never has that problem, so I'll continue with the iPod.
