Here is the story
I mostly work on guitar amps, most vintage to ancient, for players that use vintage gear, build, mod and repair studio gear and mike preamps.
I did build line amps and power amps, then got swamped with guitar amps from collectors, so rare that I have a nice vintage or audiophile amp or line stage in to work on.
I have a few friends that send their vintage or audiophile gear to me only, as they do not trust other techs in So Cal.
I now have a Threshold FET 2 preamplifier, which I have finished with, and now I have his Threshold S150 amp, that works fine, but after the check and clean up, out I found this.
Pic S150_pre_work_c shows a radial cap on the PC board
I need to replace both of these small radial caps, from Instrument devices, marked C221-1705.
Can youse guys tell me what the value is?
I tried my trickle cap charger, and they both failed.
The customer also wants new 15,000/80 volt caps and a new Schottky or IXYS rectifier bridge, to upgrade the PS.
Any help, Big Thanks!
