If you lose your patience with it - there's a guy on Milwaukee CL with an FET-10HL (looks like first-gen version) with upgraded Power Supply. Maybe work-out a trade with that dude?
Success! I replaced all 10 polystyrene capacitors and the phono preamplifier works again! I'm going to listen to vinyl tonight!
