Threshold 400A Need Help after Power Cap Replacement

Hello all, I've recently decided to change the original Mallory 10,000uf caps in my Threshold 400A to CDE 36,000uf of the same exact size.

At first, when I turned on the amp after the cap replacement, both channels sounds were so low, I had to turn on the volume to max to barely hear sound. So I took off the top again to verify the work. Then I realized that I accidentally squashed the 330uf 35v cap below the speaker binding post when I put the bottom panel off. So, I tried to straighten the 330uf cap and made sure no loose wires. That kind of solved the volume issue, and the sound level returned to normal. However, now I got static noise coming from the right channel and the heatsink is ice cold even after I turned on for hours.

I'm wondering if there is still a loose connection somewhere caused by the displaced 330uf cap? I'm thinking that cap is for the front LED panel, and both my LEDs are lit, so it shouldn't have been damaged. The left channel is playing normally and sounds so good after the cap update! I really appreciate any suggestions to troubleshoot my problem.

Again and again, we see threads here of people trying to 'improve' a perfectly operating amplifier and ending up with a failure.

Why does everyone think they always need to replace these caps?? And then changing from 10,000uF to 36,000uF! What do you think that does to those poor rectifiers??

I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, I hope you get it sorted, but why?

Thanks for your response! Here are some photos:
The first two is before any work was done.
The third photo is the squashed cap.
The fourth after I straightened the cap and checked for loose connection.
