If one corner doubles the output, woudn't a sub in the corner of the floor, and two walls triple the output. Here is my idea of a 2 cubic foot 36" along the edge equal lateral 60 degree pyramide sub firing into a shallow 48" pyramide reflector to create a rear loaded corner horn. I would use at least four to keep up with my Altec and / or EV PA speakers.
Edit; this is just a proof of concept drawing to figure out miter angles and does not nessissarily represent woofer or box size or number. I need to keep up with 100db/watt/meter speakers playing at 120db at 14 feet away.
This follows along the lines of a center quad 10" sub I built for a showroom 25 years ago.

Changing from 1/4 space loading (wall and floor) to 1/8 space loading (corner) will increase level, but room modes make prediction of how much and where the increases occur difficult.
In addition, since your top speakers presumably won't be located in the same corner, time alignment will be impossible at the crossover point, and "punch" will suffer.

There are some vintage Volvo lovers who must hate you for doing that! I probably would have done full panels to keep the body lines but that comes from years of doing custom cars.
On your other subject I am not sure of the increase as Weltersys says it is room dependent but if you are looking to do a full range corner speaker look at the old Klipsch designs for a folded corner horn, that takes the maximum advantage of that type of design. With modern materials it could be done much better than the original wooden designs ever could achieve.

You are right Weltersys, Right now my EV Sentry IV II's are sitting in that corner of the basement as is a pair of Altec 418-8H II/32B/807A's directly above in the living room and they sound best crammed into the corners.I could flip the subs up onto the ceiling above the main speakers and I only have 2 corners that I could use with this idea. Both sets of speakers play well down to 50hz, so I am only talking about adding bass from 30hz to 50 hz. I can't imagine needing to go any lower than that for HiFi.I also was wrong about the db needed at my 14 foot listening position, more like 100db. That is your problem, you don't want to transfer from word as this system will remove all the meta data that does the formatting. Type in the lower box and you can format it there. Copy and paste from Word always causes problems when you move it into another word processor.
With power and high excursion drivers available so cheap, really no need to go horn loaded for only 100 dB at the listening position.
5 Lab 12s (or a variety of other similar speakers) would do the job easily in ported or sealed enclosures and could extend in to the 20 Hz range.
There is actually quite a bit of musical signal in modern pop music in the 20-30 Hz range.
I saw a property not far from me with several Volvos of the same vintage as yours, are you near Santa Fe New Mexico, by chance?
