Is anyone else landing on post #1 of a thread where you have already read - and even posted - far into the thread? For me this is a recent behavior. I first noticed it between desktop and the mobile version (not synced), but now frequently see it on the desktop version when the thread has only been visited on desktop.
Landing on #1 happens every once in a while for no obvious reason.
Seems to happen on threads where I have posted and also not posted.
Using Firefox on Linux desktop.

Yip !
Also occasionally get notifications for posts to threads I haven't posted or subscribed to. (It's probably cosmic rays. : )

I've noticed that sometimes, if I reply within someone's post, that my reply posting lands at the bottom of the same page that I replied to, even if the thread's several pages long.
Before, it used to land on the last post's page.

Happens a lot.landing on post #1 of a thread where you have already read
Also: The "Jump to New" does not do what it says, shoud say "Jump to Last".
And yes the pages get mixed up.
That's the new forum software. It's a "feature" that lets you see your reply on the page that you were looking at. It actually goes to the end of the thread, but temporarily shows on the bottom of the page you were looking at.
Maybe it's a cookie thing. I have no idea where the forum stores your read index. I'll ask Jason.
Ok then, so it's a normal thing, thanks. That's the new forum software. It's a "feature" that lets you see your reply on the page that you were looking at. It actually goes to the end of the thread, but temporarily shows on the bottom of the page you were looking at.
It's probably a different thing but also check the Max number of posts per page in your profile settings. If you are on a page before log in 20 posts per page are the automatic setting. When you log in if you have different setting, like 10 posts per page you'l be sent at a different page.It doesn't matter where you see your posts, in the end it will be indexed right at the end.Maybe it's a cookie thing.
