If that's what ordinary people think of audiophiles then I guess I shouldn't call myself one...
Actually a system with good resolution and legibility will help a lot with gameplay, depending on the game.

i play bzflag, not a real need for great sound. i also play delta force a bit, and sound is ok with standard computer speakers... i really just need a feel for where bullets are coming from. if i want to listen to music, then i want a real sound system.
In keeping with the animal theme. 😎
Doth that be a bald eagle?!
Peace,
Dave
Yes Dave -I was a lucky person, to see one and grab my cheapy little camera.

Indeed. I have had the chance to see one in my lifetime. No camera, but here in Vermont just seeing one is a special time. They were extinct here until reintroduction around 20+ years ago. Now, if you are lucky, you may see one flying around some of the swampier areas near Lake Champlain. They seem to like the water.😉 We also had the pleasure of a golden eagle living on the water tower at UVM around 15 years ago. Got to see that one fly right over the hill section of the city hunting for food!
Peace,
Dave
P.S. Congrats on the visit!
Bald Eagles are quite common here especially when the salmon are spawning). 20-some years ago when i lived downtown on the 12 storey, a bald-eagle family raised a couple chicks in a tree top just down and maybe 50m from my balcony.

Bald eagles can be mean.
Note to self: Don't wear a coon skin cap when you're in their neighbourhood.

I wonder if there is a market for small eagle wigs.
P.S. here is another big bird I photographed on the lamp post outside my house.
It is called a gymnogene or african harriet hawk. Quite amazing birds, their legs swiwel forwards so that they can take stuff out of nests and catch lizards out of cracks etc... I have also seen them catch doves mid air, they certainly are big enough to grab a cat...
