Okay! It has begun to work. I've been getting many boominator notifications. Many is better than none. Thanks!!!
Thanks! This is better, since I did get a few notifications.
Maybe it is my fault? Question:
Could Adblock Plus, Ghostery or DNT+ tracker/ad blockers be causing notification failure? I run all three simultaneously. That would almost certainly be a problem if the notification counter was reliant on tracker. If so, which trackers are the good ones that I need? Google analytics? Google custom search engine? Openx?

The email is sent from server side code, so no, the problem has nothing to do with front end AJAX or anything fancy like that. Much more likely your ISP putting emails in your spam folder or rejecting them outright. We may move to Amazon SES in the near future which will help with whitelisting, but might prove too costly for regular emails.
The solution that worked for me is to keep watch on the subscribed threads folder. That feature works.
P.S.
The ironic thing is that the notifications worked perfectly before I donated. But on the very day that I donated and got the star, the notifications started failing at random and have glitched intermittently ever since. Isn't that odd?

This subscriptions page has been the solution to the notification problem. And that page is more interesting and more informative than waiting on emails anyway. No worries now.
I'm getting email notifications on the Blowtorch II thread but it seems to have cached the same response from Scott Wurcer to gapag and never updates to a more current response.

I stopped getting the emails many many months ago. But since I'm addicted to the forum I check it every few minutes anyhow 😀 😀 😀
No notification emails received for new posts in subscribed threads......last 20 hours. This problem reoccurs about every 3 months for me and tends to last for about a week.

Something very screwed up with the timestamps on posts in this thread! I wonder if that is related...

Sometimes we get banned by email hosts, particularly Yahoo. Are you using Yahoo? vBulletin is one of the biggest spammers on the web - there is no way for a bounced message to tell vBulletin that the account is dead, so vBulletin keeps on sending them emails, which in turn causes the email host to declare the sender a spammer. We'll be upgrading the software soon and stepping over this rather annoying problem altogether.
Also having this problem (not receiving new post in thread XXX notifications). It's likely that my email ISP (Yahoo) is deleting the messages alltogether. I was routing email through a forwarder with my web host, and I have stopped the forwarding for now to check if the notifications make it that far.
I have tried several EMails and am still not able to receive any thread post notices. When might the site's Email system be fixed?
I can see that your email provider is accepting our mails, they are not rejecting them, etc. Please check your spam folder and ensure webmaster@diyaudio.com and contact@diyaudio.com are whitelisted.
Emails notifications started slowing down A couple days ago and now have completely stopped.
Same problem here...
A lot of my 'Subscribed' threads are inactive now, but there are new postings in:
Boyuu EL34 A9 Tube Amp
and I haven't gotten email notifications for a few days now.
Nothing in my Spam inbox, either - generally my diyaudio emails come in smoothly.
I think the above can be explained by the poster being a newbie. Members under moderation don't trigger the thread/email notifier.
