Hi all,,, I've found several great mics under $300
Any thoughts on these for the soundhole on 12 string, single mixing a 6 string, & possibly some vox?

obviously for a recording situation,no?
success with any of those mic's depends more on the acoustic environment, the physical placement for the capture (and whether the performer moves)and the recording chain i.e. mic pre, mixer(if used) compression or dynamics processing (including gates).
i've some experience with the Rode NT2 but have not heard the others but all seem competent.
other may weigh in.

yes, Turk, for home recording, mostly acoustics & electrics,, definitely no drums, but perhaps vocals, but that's it~ thnx
yeah i still like the ability to select the pattern, omni only can have it's draw backs.
the king is still the AKG 414 but the NT2 is no slouch considering the price difference.

I have the Rode NT1 (not the NT2) and its one of my favorite mics. Rode offers a really great value product. 17 Best Mics for Acoustic Guitars in 2020 - Guitar Lobby I have several condenser mics i really like for recording guitar and that's probably my #1 but some other options to look at/add to your list are the AKG P420 and the Shure SM81-LC. Lots of great options in the price range you are looking
