Hi,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm currently restoring/upgrading a Thorens TD150 Mk2 and have a couple of final questions about parts.
Does anyone know what capacitors I can buy to replace the busted ones inside? And possibly where from?
Also I have a generic D-ATE-3 stylus installed (purchased from LPGear a few years ago) but am hoping to upgrade to an original/premium stylus for the Pickering V15/AT-3 cartridge on the TT.
While I'm here.. has anybody experimented on a TD150 with Herbie's Audio Lab components (Tenderfoot for internal spring replacement, Tenderfoot underneath plinth, SuperSonic Stabilizer etc). Not sure where to start configuration-wise and haven't heard back from Herbie's.
Many thanks,
B

If you go to vinylengine.com you can download a service manual. The capacitors are nothing special, there is a small (0.1uF?) ceramic to suppress arcing on the switch contacts, that should ge rated fir use on mains. The other is a film cap used to introduce a phase lag on one motor winding. It will be somewhere between 0.15 uF and 0.33uF, replace with the same value as instalked on your unit.
Also check out theanalogdept.com for lots of Thorens info.
