The easiest method is to flatten the belt and measure the length end-to-end. Then multiple by PI.

Well, your old belt might be a bit worn and loose, so you'll need 1 or 2 % smaller replacement. Belts come in discrete diameter values, anyway.

The second option (which I prefer) is you take the old belt to the shop and select a replacement of "just" a bit smaller diameter by direct comparison. Or pick two different if in doubt, they are not so expensive.

Edit: I measured the dimensions of my TD160 Super belt (it should be same as yours): length = 275 mm, d = 175 mm.

thank you ( even if I know all that , after almost 2 decades of repairing "business" ) .

I am just curious does anyone know stock measure .

Hi,from experience,I would recommend that you buy an original Thorens belt.Copies might look the same,but most cause problems with speed change ,start-up stability etc...You will also know that you have the correct one.It is not only the diameter,but also elasticity,grip,thickness etc.....

Yes,the TD147 belt is the same as TD160,165,166,145.......and it is used now on the new TD160HD.Source for these is any Thorens dealer,just make sure they keep the original in stock.The original has ''Thorens belt drive''written in white letters on the outer side of the belt.
