I'm new on this page,I have found many interesting thinks and I hope someon can help me.
At first, sorry for my English I'm from Romania.
I have a TV from Thomson RCA Scenium
Model 50MD3
Part name: LM Cabinet
Code no: H6001
this is a projector TV and I bought it already defect.
At first I have changed the bulb with an original new Philips bulb, after this, the TV worked only 5 minutes and the image became dark.
I opened the optics and found a burned optical lens, after much searching I don´t found an original lens so I decided to cut the original plastic lens to change the middle parts with a glass lens with similar focus point.
Now the TV works fine but i observed, that after stop, all the coolers are working yet 2 minutes, but also the bulb also works.
I think that this is a wrong function, I think that only the coolers should working for a proper cooling, if the bulb does not stop, they can not cooled, so it is non sense.
My balast is CAE 180/01.
I think that this is a wrong funktion and that this way have burned the original plastic lens.
Now the bulb is new and I do not want to overheat it and die.
Can you suggest me an idea what could be wrong, or this is a normal function ?
How can I now if the balast works wrong or the main board and how can I check this ?
