My ACA is playing very nicely with my original Hestia OB build. But I never added the woofer to the Hestias. Even so the base they do have is great. The original design called for a run of the mill10" unit amped separately and low passed at 90 Hz. I made my baffle shorter in height than plan and there is not enough room for a 10". Wondered if this 6" unit would do okay? It would have to roll off clean at the bottom ideally. I use these near field at moderate to low volume. If I add these they will be amped separately too.

Much as I hate using the router and jig I think it is a must do project towards sonic bliss.

Specs tend to be way off with Fs, Qts liable to be higher, making for a 'faster' roll-off with maybe not enough added LF gain BW to justify the cost/effort, so 'caveat emptor' applies, though can correct to some extent with DSP.
You're welcome!
Yeah, HT has become so popular that it's hard to justify DIY for small systems, i.e. with my huge Altecs needing at least a $$ refurb and ideally $$$$$$ replaced/upgraded signal chain plus my hearing has finally taken a nosedive, so I'm currently using some '80s RadioShack Minimus 7 speakers perched next to the Altec's 511 horns to somewhat amplify/add a bit of cinema sound tone to them.

I gave my ears quite a beating over the years. Firecrackers, rock shows, couple decades of pistol shooting and motorcycles. Plus noisy job sites.
GM, if you are still feeling the will to build, a retrofit of my Synchaetas into the Min7 cabs as they were designed for would give you an opportunity.
Sorry for your hearing loss...

Thanks! Mine needed new caps decades ago, so an indicator of my current hearing health as they sound fine to me. 🙁
Hope springs eternal though! 😉 Link? Googling only returned a rather ugly creature.........

I'm slowly uploading projects to the "Armada" link at the InDIYana website, but not these yet.
As the build thread states, a Synchaeta is a small singular celled rotifer, and can survive in lots of environments. The name is to state these are small and can be used virtually anywhere.
Hopefully, this link can provide until then:

Take note on the woofer coil value depending on the Min7 cabinet material.
Let me know if you want more info....

Yeah, noticed that, I've got the metal cans and some scrap galvanized, stainless steel? sheet to isolate it (can't remember which or both works ATM 🙁).
Mu-metal is the only way for that, but just using a higher or lower value in ref to cabinet matl solved the problem.
