pcb purchase request
hi carlos it me again decided to go with the dhr turbo shematic.
I would like to purchase a ready made pcb of the dhr turbo along with psu board i know this is a free design and not for commercial business but i cannot produce boards - lack of experince and time is short and i rather trust an expert than blowing a cap in my face or electrocute myself trying to etch a board that is badly designed.
I do have experince in producing a gainclone amp from peter daniels kit and i am happy with it. But i need to produce dhr turbo since i have a spare toriod 43vac and a spare kenwood amp case.
why build dhr turbo ?
well carlos is an expert in my mind he talks the amp language.
he uses his ears to examine sound quality and has vast knowledge on electronics.
i got a huge toriod with 43 vac doing nothing.
i also got randy slone amp contruction manual book -lot of reading and learning.

Interesting...people from Russia was deeply interested and some folks have assembled this one.
This is a Hell good amplifier that sounds very, very, very, very good!

So, how high is the resolution?
And how does this compare to resolution of other good power amplifiers.
Like a good and well working LM3886 chip amplifier, for example.

The High Resolution was the decision... resolution in my language does not means something as precision.... or resolution applied to digital cameras advertising.
It has good sound.... with good english pronouciation it is strong..it is advertising, propaganda...the name is for those purposes..to collect some folks to build.... in brazil many folks have built, and also a lot of Russians have made it too, some Chinese done too...and those guys are talking directly using E mail...have you perceive Chinese, Japanese and Russian do not like open forum conversations?..... but they love direct conversation into E mail...you know, more intimate...without testimonies...more warm...more human.
Mean a "big decision"...made by someone that has courage to face hard things that may come as result of that ... in portuguese we write:
resoluto, resolução, ser resoluto.
You are clever...ahahahah...you just do not think this can have High Resolution the same way the english language meaning into this word...you love numbers, simulators, virtual things and for sure you have already checked it is Terrible, scandalous into Fourier analisis. .... simulating the one, will present enormous errors into fourier analisis...i have the same simulator you have...and may loose when compared (simulation results) with a lot of amplifiers, including many of your designs may "eat it into the breafast" into simulators.
The difference is that i have learned that this is not all... this does not means audio quality for humans...just sometimes, not ever..in the reality they use (good in measurements) to be sterile, awfull!
But if you put them to play..guaranteed..you gonna shot the one you have used to compare with the High Resolution.. that one has wonderfull specifications will be running alike a dog with the tail between the legs screaming and running out from the figth.
in my language the noise is:
Caím... caím.... caím.....
Why?
Maybe humans loves distortions...maybe they are part of the life... real life is filled with distortions, harmonics, sounding beating one each other...people talking loud... noisy machines..strong pulses of square wave.... harmonics and harmonics beating one each other and distorting, cancelling and all mess possible... this is real.... walls reverberating, neigthboors producing noises... dogs barking..computer fan producing noises.... air conditioned pumping gaz...well my dear..except your silent home in the middle of a nice forest...other folks experience high levels of distortions of all kind....maybe people loves that..also speaker are producing a mess...not only amplifiers..some of them "talks" better with speakers than others.
How knows?

I am clever ,too , and DX precision simulates as good as most
other amps in its class (topology). Slightly different distortions
than standard blameless(H2)..,(CFP input and caps at drivers)
but that must be why it sounds as it does..
Just ask Hugh dean(aksa), The right cap in the right place
makes a amp livable (pleasant)🙂 ... certain distortions are
desirable in just the right amount while some just make you
want to leave the room.🙁

People should think, right or wrong, that this amplifier have such precise sound like a high resolution digital camera.
We also know that 'resolution' is sometimes used when tell how one amp sounds.

You see..i have modified his circuit, and even this way measured very well... i will try, next year, to simulate exatly the same.

Power depends on many things..load, voltage, distortion..not so simple...maybe 400 watts...i really do not remember.
My home version goes easy 350 without distortion...but you can make it into several ways.
From Romania.... really, my amplifier has a lot of power nice sonics too..but to performer is Roender Amplifier.... Mihai is from Romania..why don't you try to contact your country fellow?
