Why not just use <a href="http://www.panicware.com/product_pshelp.html">Pop-up Stopper</a>? It's free and effective.
I don't see how avoiding a site you like because of newly instigated popups is to your advantage when there is a simple solution.

There is a PopUp thread there. eehah just hasn't managed to pay his "ransom" to EZBoard. He doesn't need much help to make the pop-ups go away.

Thanks , POP-UP Stopper works great! And the pop-ups at EZ had a very short life. I will return.
