This speakers can sound very good - with the right amplification as always.

Maybe the most astonishing aspect is that something so big and "extravagant" looking can sound so sweet or loud. This speakers rock ! I attended a very good demo with the Trio once only, I just do not remember the ancillaries.

But they have the same "look-here-I-am" esthetics like so many so called "design" objects, you will need one of these ultramodern open flats (a "loft") for them alone. Many people buy them, according to the local importer, also because of their looks. (But the selling numbers here are still small, I suppose).

Personally, besides the Gaudi factor I don't care much for horns.
At infinite distance they will probably sound like a point source but in the costraints of one's den it feels like, to put it simply, each driver plays its own tune.
I would leave horns for the concert or movie theather arena where they belong.

They look like the kind of speaker, where ehen you first hear them, they seem detailed and open. Then after an hour or so, you tend to find your ears (brain?) gets more and more fatigued and decide they are honky.
Does any one know how much they cost in UK? and what kind of crossover they have?
