There's always people abusing of what's free...

When trying to get samples from National Seminconductors, I got the following message :

Please note, since we have some very creative visitors using a range of free email accounts that have abused the system. As a result, we will be asking for a nominal freight fee if you are using the non-bonafide email domains. To avoid this fee, please place your order through your corporate email account.

It's pretty disapointing to know that. How long before they simply stop their samples program ? Samples are used to evaluate a component, not for low to mid-scale production.

At least there's nobody on this forum doing this 🙂

Regards,

Probably somebody who registered 100 hotmail addresses and
use them all to order samples and then sells the components.
At least they do not refuse to send you samples, but I guess
the freight can be quite expensive if they use Fedex or similar.
