ok I could be wrong but if I were to get a panel with high resolution and use the vga port with a composite to vga converter, wouldnt the quality be better (as apposed to just using the composite in port)? The reason for composite to vga converters is to watch tv, and play consoles on your vga computer screen, because it supposedly makes it look better. I know its more trouble and a lil more money but maybe its worth it.
No, it wouldn't make a difference one bit. If you have a composite input on your LCD, that IS a composite to VGA converter, so in other words, you'd be buying something you already have. Buy why would you want composite anyways? Is this for a VCR or a Sega Genesis or something?
If you want to improve a composite source like the above mentioned, a line doubler will help. Personally, I don't worry about that stuff because I don't watch VHS anymore, and if I did once in a while, I wouldn't worry about making a setup so that VHS tapes look slightly less crappy than they would on a regular TV.
