I want to build a dedicated PS for the Wiener, probably a Sigma 11. What is the current thinking on the ideal voltage requirement for the Wiener stereo board? I recall 21V being mentioned as the "sweet spot" way back in the TPA3116 thread.

Same question but for the Weiner Pro.

I also would be interested in any recommations per volume control. Eg POT and wiring. Maybe a good quality POT that also has a push button function for on/off too. And what ohm POT?

I didn't design the cards for any specific supply voltage. The plain Wiener card will do about 8V-24V ("officially" 12-24V) and the Pro will do about 16-36V (officially 18-36V). Don't exceed the upper limit or you could damage things.

Pages 8-9 of the TPA3118D2 datasheet show the THD performance is slightly better at 12V versus 24V, though not by much. But if you're pushing the amp close to clipping at 12V, a 24V supply will probably work better. Personally I'm inclined to believe the "sweet spot" depends on listening level, speaker efficiency, etc.

For a volume control pot, I'd recommend a 10K logarithmic (aka "audio taper") pot. Can't make any specific recommendations other than buy something good from Bourns or another known brand instead of a chinese eBay special of dubious quality. Scratchy pots suck.

I'll fill in the spreadsheet when I get home. Prices are set based on me being able to order parts for 25 Pro cards and "a little more than 25" stereo/PBTL cards. I'm pretty sure I'm there on the Pro, I'll confirm on the others.

Summarized everything last night. Got enough orders of everything to make the build worthwhile 🙂

Heads up: I'll be closing the group buy this coming Tuesday (the 24th) - I originally stated Monday but I'm on vacation at that time 🙂 Beyond that point I'm not taking any more orders/payments.

I'm ordering parts to build extra boards, in case of failures or whatever, so there may be some extras available for sale. But I can't make any guarantees.
