IMHO, physics has two major problems
1)The Establishment that impedes exciting new publications, and on the other hand it allows meaningless publications.
Unfortunately is how it works, publish or perish.
This is not new, remember famous cases like those of Newton and Cauchy.
Fortunately, every so often someone comes along and were laughing in the face

OK, a real questions for those real physics types out there. Speed is a distance per time. Time varies with gravity. So the speed of light is relative to your viewpoint?
Next question I don't get. If gravity is a warping of space-time, then why the hub-bub of why it is a weak force relative to the strong/weak/electromagnetic forces and why does it need a particle to carry it?
If Higgs carries mass, then all particles, including other bosons must be composite particles and not atomic, as they must contain one or more Higgs?
These shows on Discover channel just don't connect the dots.
No, it's constant independent of frame. That's why you see time dilation, length contraction, and (in one of the most beautiful results in all of physics) magnetic field from a charge moving with respect to your frame.
Particles don't 'contain' Higgs, they interact with it - like trying to run through a crowded party.

Einstein being shown wrong is more news worthy than a bad connection.
The original CERN report never said Einstein was wrong, just that they needed further investigation it was detailed and listed all time sources and delays about 28 pages if I remember. i was voting for a missed gate or two in a FPGA.

It is known that in Maxwell, speed of light (u) was regarded as a constant, and with no reservation relative to a sender or receiver speed, that is, independent.
Ref. "magnetic field from a charge moving", here is a quote from what I read now (Heaviside Electrical Papers, Vol. II) year 1894 !
