theyre having an outdoor show in front of about 120 teens, and im in charge of just about everithing but playing.
but im afraid because we will use a 2kw generator, and im not sure if it gives a steady flow, or with voltage "jumps" that can ruin the sund or perhaps the gear.
is it safe?
does it depend on the type of generator?

The generator can power about 700 watts of audio.
If it's also powering the lights, reduce the amplifier power by the total wattage of the lighting.
Either way, you're pushing that poor generator. Expect it to "sag" on loud music passages.
