The pointless argument thread

SY thinks we can be objectively subjective - but can we be subjectively objective?

Conscious objectivism is always counterbalanced by subconscious subjectivism. The one who thinks he's the most objective is in the most intense denial of his subjectivity - which is never expunged but merely hidden from his conscious perception. If you can follow that...😛

I've started this thread in the fervent hope that in future any such arguments can be steered towards this thread, rather than completely disrupting whatever thread they happened to have started in, as is normally the case.

Suitable topics include... ...anything to do with DBTs.

You mean, so that you can start up a thread with a load of unsubstantiated and/or misleading rubbish and carry on a cosy little 'we all share the same delusion' chat in it without being held to account?

Wishful thinking aside, don't you recognise anything of totalitarianism here? Kind of like a turkey voting for Christmas?

People challenge these threads for a reason. There are so many people happy to contribute another anecdote (presumably because they feel that they have nothing else worthwhile to say) that if they were left unchallenged we'd soon be swamped by an apparent majority opinion based on no more than the work of idle hands.

Why not sign up for one of the deludaboards where mention of DBT is explicitly prohibited in all or part of the forum? Head-fi has a prohibition in all but the DIY section. You can start up a thread there that will run unchallenged 'till the cows come home. You won't get anything thought provoking or useful out of it though, just a chorus of warm comforting agreement.

Good luck with the cigar project.

This thread would work much better after cryogenic treatment.
