Dear Brian,
Do you know Benz Micro ACE SL cartridge?
What do you think, it is worth a try?
I can purchase an used one at a half price.
Tomorrow I will see (and to listen) it.
As they say it was lightly used.
What should I watch?
It is quite a lot of money for me, even at half price.
Many thanks in advance!

@Gyuri,

I really do not know...I have never listened to any cartridge from Benz!

General factors which guide me in cartridges are really very simple. The first is that complicated tip shapes are much more difficult to set up correctly than are traditional spherical or elliptical profiles. The complicated tips seem to have far less capacity for wear...they wear out more quickly. Rebuild costs are high.

If I was looking for a MC cartridge I would go for an 'E' tipped traditional top-end cartridge such as an early original Ortofon SPU series/EMT and be prepared to have it retipped by someone such as Expert Stylus in the UK...but they do take a long time and it is expensive! Otherwise I would go for a Denon 103E and put it in a new body. There is a lot of info on the web.

I have an extremely low output Kondo built Audio Note Io...unfortunately it is in need of a new cantilever...back at the Japanese factory! It is my favourite all round cartridge despite being such low output!

When you get the right cartridge for you, make it 100% cat-proof! 😉

Thanks, Brian,
I really don't know what to do.
There is a nice review about Benz Micro ACE SL:
21st Benz Micro Ace SL S
If I will buy it, I can forget "plug-and-play".
Although it is used, so it is completed its break in period.
Pass XONO is flexibile enough to set it up where the cartridge needs.
It's all like marriage, you do not have to dive into it.
Especially if you can't swim, as me.
And yet, you will do it anyway.

1 - 1 at the half. Both goals near the end.

2-1

The island became a nation in 2010, as of 2011 they have a national socker team. At least half of the players were born in NL.
Curaçao is more into baseball and basketball.

Couple of years ago at a beach on the island, a guy told me they were celebrating the end of the (amateur) basketball competition there, large crowd, big BBQ.
All year round they play against teams of the other islands, the end of the season party is held on a different island each year.
Which prompted me to express that I really need to get into basketball
