Straight sugar, water and yeast. The "flavours" are added after.
Magura, I'd love to see some pics. It might make my friend consider updating his set-up.

Can't help you there Cal, this happened 10+ years ago.
But back then we had the same philosophy 😀
This was though somewhat more industrial, as it was controlled by a redundant 286 pc 😎
Magura 🙂

If all it takes for her to have confidence in you, is a fire extinguisher, you're in good shape😀
Magura 🙂
I don't know if that is any kind of lab in my book. Where is the chaos? Where is the pile of half finished projects with the pile of seemingly random parts next to it? I have never known a lab like that and likely never will. Of course that is my own fault. Looks nice.
Beautiful! I know how much it means to a guy/gal to have their own space and no-one (and I mean no-one!!!) is allowed to butt in...
unless they want to hear something wonderful from the test bench, that is.

Judging from the looks of his avatar, Eyoung likely has no problem to butt-in.
(My neighbours have several fire extinguishers. Me, you know.)

Wikipedia sez:
Boulez Conducts Zappa: The Perfect Stranger is a 1984 album featuring the music of Frank Zappa, conducted, in part, by Pierre Boulez. It is also known as, simply, The Perfect Stranger.
Boulez conducts, specifically, on the three tracks — "The Perfect Stranger", "Naval Aviation in Art?" and "Dupree's Paradise" — which were recorded at IRCAM, Paris on January 10 and January 11, 1984, and are performed by Boulez' Ensemble InterContemporain. The title track was also commissioned by Boulez, and contains references to Zappa's 1971 film, 200 Motels. The remaining four tracks are credited to 'The Barking Pumpkin Digital Gratification Consort'; in fact, Zappa's Synclavier. "Outside Now Again" is a Synclavier performance based on a transcription of Zappa's guitar solo in the song "Outside Now" from the 1979 Joe's Garage album.
I didn't warm up to it much myself, but then it always did take about 10 listens to love the best Zappa tunes, like King Kong.

Thank you.
Listening to it again, and then to other pieces, it seems that there are more convergences between says "in Memoriam" by P.B and "Zoot allures" by F.Z.
Thx for the hint about KingKong.

My wife is going to join me at Burning Amp... yes! Best navigator on the planet. We're driving south from Portland, OR to San Francisco. I look forward to meeting my fellow DIYers and my favorite teacher. We're going to make this adventure a 4 day road-trip.
