We had some heavy rain north of Nashville this morning - just in time for rush hour traffic (for those poor souls that have ta go ta w-o-r-k) and have lots of local street and stream flooding. Watching the telly az I dial up the coffee IV feed to full drip and thinking - man, that really sucks!!!! Maybe there are some pretty gurlz in there that need a place to wait things out......

Rain iz still coming down - just made national newz - I'm high (elevation wize - not under influence high) and dry tho. The 1st thing I look for before deciding on a house is to check the local floodplain to see if dachshunds will need snorkels or not....

Same here, 07:30am and it just stopped raining....oh sorry, I mean flooding.
Which wasn't so bad, as it also meant that it was relatively cool with close to zero wind yesterday, me is rain smeller.

Agree re PCs, Laptops, and all MS stuff!
Get a Mac and refuse to use apps and all other "trendy" stuff!.....use the old fashioned longhand methods. I do use a cheap 'home' version of MS Office; it is far too "all embracing", yet does not allow you to save long documents!!
Use a phone for talking to people, a camera for pics and a forget all of this hyper expensive rubbish which marketeers have succeeded in duping almost everyone are must-haves....same with trainers, and just about everything else.
Few here would use a music centre. Why use a multi-purpose comms kit...the quality of the various functions will not be as good. (The iPad does have a good but limited camera...but everyone who uses it in public looks an absolute idiot.) In reality being seen as a dodo is no bad thing!

No raining right now - things drying out but about 100 homes and business places did get dunked..... Not nearly az bad az the big flood in 2010 which we (Nashville folks - but not me) are just barely finished rebuilding from.
Some people in Mid-West states like Kansas are getting hit really hard - and it's heading our way - so time will tell. Wifey assures me that I'll be OK because some things alwayz float...
