I like the second amendment. It gives the people the rights do defend from an eventual gone crazy government. However its a bit outdated and needs to be refreshed. Arming every dopehead with a machinegun isnt actualy taking you anywhere but down.

Nope. Not against. Thats something communism has told you. Of course freedom is speculative but only you can define its meaning. Freedom is from, not against. Important.

The very thing of arming defense from your own temporarily demœcratic elected government is of of course silly in any state except USA. But its not hard to understand why its there if you study history. Amendment means that it is an addition from the original contract.

I will unfortunately maintain my naive belief that is a necessary thing, not for daily life, or even daily thought, but for the unexpected. My simple understanding of the time of Hitler reminds that many of the countries he oppressed invited him in with open arms. I think he started to change things by taking over schools and controlling the story line. Wasnt ong before the savior took on a different persona. Perhaps I have a bad understanding. I do enjoy history although it is a new fascination. I would thouroughly enjoy any recommendations for good books on any topics of interest in this area. My apologies for any offense.

Buzz. You are absolutely correct about history is glad of getting rid of Hitler and totalitarism. There has been made numerous movies about the invasion which was a never forgettable act. What is seldom mensioned in the same act that 420 thousend americans set their life to freedom over 20 million people did the same on the russian side against Hitler.
