I used a selfadhesive black foil which is also black on the adhesive side. Doing the cutout in the foil to the exact size of the display.and outer size of foil
to exact size of cutout in frontplate. Put black foil to backside of plexiglas - to inside of case. Use very sharp knife to cut foil.I hope this is understandable? You know - my dumbness.... 😀

that's what I was thinking that you did, I like your dumbness 🙂
though, I think I would go with complete milling done from back side of front plate, but that would result in smaller plexy area, while you probably wanted bigger, beauty reasons
