I think it's quite normal:

Gyuri, that is the only sure thing that will happen to all of us.My current state is: (for a while)
"Waiting to be dead."
The challenge is to do something meaningful and fun in the meantime...just remember Monty Python's The Meaning of Life:
" Try to be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try to live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations" 🙂
P.s. Now drink a beer 😉
Haha, tried a burnie today. Unfortunately its to light in the front and the flat skick sucks the warm tarmack so the front wheel just slips all the way, inspite my silly look trying to sit in front of the saddle. Need to put som race discs in the clutch and gear down maybe. And practice

Maybe some water with a bit of bleach to let the rear tire slip. Although not being able to spin isn't a bad thing.

We have such grip that burnies is just for show. The old airstrip we secretly used today had about 250 m straight so I just barely kicked in third gear before it was time to hit the brakes. No problems whatsoever with stability yet, but just maybe we need som fewer teeth in front and some more on the wheel
250 meters.... like 1/8 mile. Enough to know what to expect. I always thought the 60 foot time was the most important. This tells me how I did launching. After that just along for the ride. The best I could manage on my rice rocket was 1.7 second 60 foot time. Your purpose built should do much better.
If one lived better situated more practice could be done. I could barely stand after 6-7 races and a few burnie-trials. More exhausting then I expected for an old fart

that and paying taxes, as my teacher used to tell us...🙁
(the tax part is clearly the worst in my opinion)

Taxes will either kill you, or stretch your life expectancy till you've either paid or collected enough.
