Man, that's a shame -

I hope that he finds somebody to buy him out who will "carry the torch".
His business has been an excellent resource for those of us who like to play-around with some Vinyl from time to time, as well as those who are MUCH more serious about it than I am

WOW!! What a shame. I have bought several cartridges from him through the years. They were the first to recommend the Hana Line before they were widely known. Excellent service and advice. I sure hope he will sell to someone who will carry on that tradition.

RIP Jerry Raskin. I hand't seen this thread before but just found out from googling Needle Doctor, read the article in the OP, and several other articles on his passing. Here's an obituary I found on Audiokarma:

So it appears he never found anyone to take over his business. I wasn't a "regular customer" but I did order from him in the 1990s.

I went to the store they had in "Dinkytown" neighborhood of Minn. Minn. Small store front, Jerry shared his knowledge for over an hour, felt like a couple of minutes. Always wanted to go back, never did.
