None? I could be a woman for all you know!
Really? this thread has slid downhill, it has no place being on this forum and is the first time that I’ve ever been dissapointed in the Mods.

I was hoping somebody else would say it first but nobody came. Good to see Grumpy though.

I followed this thread to find out about people tastes so I can correlate it to their tastes in amplifier/music sounds. I think now I understand why people do not see what I see in sound.
I was hoping to find some kind of universal criterion... which seems do not exist 😀 Well, at least I thought the aforementioned Rachel Weisz was one of the most beautiful in the world.
But for me personally, characters and intelligence makes a woman beautiful or not, cannot just the face, but I can't help but attracted sexually to physical appearance where face is only a minor part of it (sex appeal).

One of the interpretations of the book 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance', from which my tag line is quoted by the way, is that beauty is something often easily recognized by all, but nevertheless can not be defined. The subjectivist vs objectivist fissure that runs deeply through this hobby.
The trouble with this thread is not it's title, but the inevitable slide of discussion and posts towards an impression of misogyny that reflects very poorly on the forum and those who establish the standards of care over it, rather than offer a more positive example. The forum rules may benefit from an update to encourage respect (nothing wrong with a good argument of course).

Impression? Can you point out the misogyny in the thread? I haven't seen much of it, except maybe from a couple of members who like shock value over all else. Even then, not bad.The trouble with this thread is not it's title, but the inevitable slide of discussion and posts towards an impression of misogyny ....
Perhaps a definition of misogyny would be useful, then we can examine the thread to see which posts actually exhibit it, if any.
noun: misogyny
dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.
Perhaps he's not getting any

I've taken the time to review all 40 pages of this thread and I don't get any impression of misogyny.
One or two slightly risque contributions perhaps, but no misogyny - unless the definition of the word has changed!

In which case, how about an insight into what I personally consider the most recent incident of #megonetoofar / political correctness run amok - the banning by some broadcasters of a 70yr old song “Baby, it’s cold outside” as it’s apparently an ode to rape? I’d be surprised if 90+% of early blues tunes’ lyrics didn’t fail to pass the Tipper Gore sniff test.
Well, it was a rather risque song at the time......
How about Muddy Waters 'Good Morning Schoolgirl' eh?
I'm at a friends, now discussing artists and their predilection to singing about 'THE' opposite sex...... funny they dont sing about any on the newer sexes recently added to the list of....er .... sexes.
