I want to rebuild my 300b mono block amps into new chassis. I would be building them from hard woods with a solid silver top plate. The twist is I want to make most of the base 5-6” thick and solid wood. Then I want to bore out recesses in it and pot the caps (with their cases removed), resistors, chokes, trannys, even the hook up wires- in it. Nothing on these amps gets warm besides the tubes and a 25w 1k resistor. What am I overlooking? What (besides the tubes and that resistor) can’t I do this with? I know this will make it very unfriendly to modify and repair but I can deal with that. Any ideas? Cautions? Warnings?

If you are doing it for the first time, you can't really predict the results. It may seem like a proper and sound approach, but when you put everything together, the sound may be not to your likening. Especially if you use expensive components and then you'll pot them. It will be very hard to take them out if you decide that this is not what you are after (soundwise).
I would suggest building two circuits, with less expensive parts, and do with one what you intend here, and then compare them sonically. IME damping chassis and components too much is not always suitable.
