Hi all,
Just starting a build thread for my latest project. This time, I wanted to build this more out in the open rather than on a bunch of notecards that no one will see.
The motivation for this project is to build a big, multi-way speaker for my living room that would have been unattainable for me to just buy. I wanted something that would give the ultimate in sound reproduction while still being "diy". Also, every project I get to name is always related to Coheed and Cambria, hence "The Keywork" .
This is a 4-way loudspeaker, tri-amped with a Hypex 503 plate amplifier (either the tweeter and midrange will have a passive crossover or the midrange and midwoofer). The whole enclosure will be sealed for transient response.
Driver List
SB Acoustics SB21RDC-C000-4 .75" Tweeter
SB Acoustics MR13P-4 5" Midrange
SB Acoustics MW19P-4 7.5" Midwoofer
Dayton Audio UM12-22 12" Ultimax Subwoofer
Amp List
Hypex FusionAMP FA503 Amp with DSP
