I am not sure what they would actually be as a reorganized company. Just selling old stock parts? They sold their IP to Cirrus. If they used any of the technology they developed they would probably be violating patents that Cirrus now owns. Would they have to pay royalties to Cirrus? Not being privy to the details of the deal, who knows?
But with all that in mind you would have to see this re-org as being more of a new company under the old Tripath name than a reconstitution of the original company. I don't think they could legally carry on where they left off at this time.

Keep an eye on Cirrus to see if any Tripath like chips are released.

I'm surprised the web site stayed up as long as it did. Last May was the asset auction; i.e. all of Tripath's assets were liquidated. Tripath was certainly and finally finished at that time with no hope of salvation. You can be sure that Cirrus will be releasing new parts based on the millions of dollars they spent on the IP acquisition. Just don't hold your breath waiting for DIY friendly parts. It would only make sense for them to initially target specific high volume consumer applications with which they can recover their investment costs. If they are successful there then we may be lucky enough to see parts of more interest to this community at a later date.
Anyone interested in a couple thousand worthless shares of Tripath?
Thinking of getting the stock certificates, mounting them in a nice frame and selling them on DIYAudio...
I have, oh, about 2000 - 4000 shares.
I will post a pic of one as soon as I get them from the broker. The certificates may become classics like Enron certificates!

I dont think they will appear in usual known type or form, because of old sold stocks. The customers want to see the safety in deliveralble parts and cirrus isnt interested that buyers of old stocks make huge profits. Aaahhh I see now: you said :"Tripath liked ..." It can be - I hope so.
Mmm..Too bad about that investment..... My TriPath TA2020 does sound mighty good right now... But, if you could get the Stock Certificates, don't bother mounting them, I'll do that myself. It is DIY you know...I'd gladly give you a Buck 380 for one...
Tripath Share Cert
Yeah,
I'd be interested to purchase a Tripath share cert if it's available for sale. Let me know how much. No need to be framed or anything.

Wow, actually I was just joking, but what the hell. I will place a call into my broker sometime next week.
Looks like I maybe able to recoup a tiny bit after all...

So all these new amps popping up using Tripath chips are actually using chips that are no longer in production and may never have a drop in replacement? That's not a good situation.
is there anything that is similar or better in quality and that simple to use as Tripath nowdays....?????.....
any company that started the production of the Tripath chips??

Be patient. Yes many better if you look out there, class AB😀.
ST bought the patents and are continuing to manufacture tripath chips SEC Info - Tripath Technology Inc - S-1/A - On 6/7/00 - EX-10.2
Cirrus Logic Inc. acquired Tripaths assets and intellectual property in late 2007.
The info at your link is nearly 10 years old. 🙄

lol yeah didnt notice the date until after I had posted doh

And what Cirrus logic do? Is there any Cirrus logic class-T chip been sold?
Tripath sold for so little, Cirrus probably bought the IP rights just in case they might ever have some use for it (and to keep others from using it).
They haven't done anything with it yet that I know of. Who knows if they ever will.
